Needak, Urban, ReboundAir, Cellerciser, Bellicon, hundreds of choices... but which one is the right rebounder for you?

Find out for yourself.
At the end of this quiz you will find
the brand and type of the rebounder
that might be best for YOU.

Disclaimer: Please note that the quiz below and the result that you get out of it is based on the experience that we have had and the experience that our clients have communicated to us over the last two years. The information which we receive is anecdotal. Other clients may have other experiences. It is our aim to keep this information as updated as possible and you can help us with this in sharing your rebounding experience with us. So please look at the result of the quiz only as an aide to prompt you with important questions. The more you know about your needs, the easier it is to find the right rebounder. At the end it is of course you who chooses and we cannot take a responsibility for your choice.

It is very important to stay neutral in regards to all brands
and to simply provide correct information.
We are constantly on the research for high quality rebounders.
So if you have a rebounder that you really like, please tell us.
We want to test it  and to include your information on our website.
Please write to:

General rule
All serious rebounder trainers, doctors and physiotherapists agree to the fact that you should keep away from cheap rebounder models. Cheap rebounders damage you more than do you well and if you don't want to spend the money for buying a quality rebounder, then better don't rebound at all and go swimming or choose another healthy sport. How to recognize a quality rebounder

This is how the Quiz functions:
Each section (I to IV) consists of a serious of questions and each question has several possible answers. For each question choose only one answer.  Below each answer you find letters. Note on a piece of paper the letters of the answer that describes you best.

Example: If in Section I, question 1 you are asked how old you are and let's say, you are 41 years old, you have to write down "BB".

At the end of the section you count your letters and the letter which has the highest score is the result for this section.

According to your result you will be guided to go to the next relevant section. At the end of the last section, you will get the name of the rebounder or the company of the rebounder that might fit you best.

Section I: Spring or Bungee band rebounder?

  1. Your age

I am over 60 years old.
    Note: BBBB

    I am 50 to  59 years old.
    Note: BBB

    I am 40 to  49 years old.
    Note: B

    Note: S

I am under 30 years old.
    Note: SS

  2. Your reason to rebound

(remember: Choose only one answer in this category)

I want to rebound mainly for health reasons (lymphatic flow etc.).
    Note: BBB

I want to rebound to improve my health and  to do a moderate daily workout.
    Note: BB

I want rebounding as my primary physical exercise to gain core strenght.

  3. What you want to experience

(remember: Choose only one answer in this category)

    Note: BBBB

For my physical conditions (back, knee, joints) I need the softest possible rebounder.
    Note: BBBB

As I have never rebounded, I don't know what I want to experience.
Don't note anything for this category

I want to experience a strong bounce that allows me a quick frequency so that I can jog on the rebounder.
    Note: SSSS

I want to bounce very strongly at least an hour per day and really build up my body.
Note SSSS (recommendation: You might prefer a spring based rebounder. Go to section IV)

  4. Your budget

(remember: Choose only one answer in this category)

I want the best of the best. I love beauty and I believe in quality.
    Note: BBB

My health is worth getting the rebounder that suits me most, even if the model is expensive. I know that doctor visits are very expensive, too, and that a high quality rebounder would pay out at the end.
    Note: BB

Money matters. However, I am willing to pay for a rebounder that provides me the fun experience that I need to keep me motivated.
    Note: B

Although I love high quality, my budget is limited. I could not spend more then $300 for a rebounder.

Do not note anything for this category

  6. You physical condition

I have no problems neither with my knees nor with my back.
    Note: S

  7. Balance

(remember: Choose only one answer in this category)

I have severe problems with my balance and I would prefer a stable rebounder mat.
    Note: SSS

I have severe problems with balance but I still would like to have a soft bouncing mat.
Note: BBB (you would need to order a holding bar for your rebounder)

I have no problems with balance.
Don't note anything for this category.

  8. Your feet

    Are you pronating?
(To find out, please click on the link below this paragraph)

(remember: Choose only one answer in this category)

Yes, I am heavily pronating and I don't think I can stop myself from doing so even after having seen the video and practiced to stand correctly.
Note: SSSS (recommendation: better get a spring based rebounder. Go directly to section IV)

Yes I am pronating but I am sure, I can learn to control my feet position with some training.
    Note: S

Yes I am pronating but I have anti-pronating shoes that help me correcting this.
    Note: S

    I am not pronating, yahoo!
    Note: B

    I am supinating.
    Note: B

  9. Pronating and Supinating and how to correct it

End of Section I

You have reached the end of Section I. Now please count your B's and S's.

If you have more B's it means that you might do best with a bungee band rebounder. Go to Section II.

If on the contrary you have more S's, then you might be better off with a spring based rebounder. Scroll down to Section IV.

Section II: Which Bungee band rebounder?
In this section we will inquire if a small rebounder of 39 inches is better for you or if the 44 inch rebounder would suit you most.

Please write down the U's and M's that you find in each category and count them at the end of this section. Remember to choose only one answer per category.
  1. Size of your room

I have enough space to place a rebounder with a diameter of 44 inches.
    Note: U

I have very limited space and if possible I would even store the rebounder away when I don't use it.
    Note: MMM

  2. Age and size of persons going to use the rebounder

(remember to choose only one answer)

The oldest person is over 65 years old.
    Note: UUU

My children who are between 8 and 15 years old want to use the rebounder, too.
    Note: UU

My children are under 8 years and I want them to use the rebounder, too.
    Note: U

The size of the tallest person using the rebounder is over 5"9.
    Note: UU

The size of the tallest person using the rebounder is over 6"1.
    Note: UUU

Nothing of the above is true.
    Note: MMM

  3. Portability

I need a rebounder that can be taken in the airplane or that fits in my car.
    Note: MMM

I am rarely or never traveling with my rebounder.
    Note: U

End of Section II

You have arrived at the end of Section II. Now please count your U's and M's.

If you have more U's then you might prefer the Bellicon Ultimate with a diameter of 44 inches.
If on the contrary, you have more M's then you might be happier with the Bellicon Ultimate Mini which has a diameter of 39 inches.

Make a note of this result and then go to Section III to find out, if your rebounder should have folding or screwing legs.

Section III: Folding or Screwing legs?

In the following section you can find out if a folding leg model would work best for you or if screwing legs are more advised. Please count the "F's" and the "S's" and remember only to choose one answer per category.

  1. You space

After my workout, I need to store away my rebounder. I have not enough space to just lean it upside against a wall.
    Note: FFFF

I have enough space to leave the rebounder out in the room or I can lean it against the wall.
    Note: S

  2. Travelling

I travel a lot by car and it would be great if I could  quickly mount and demount my rebounder at a reststop so that I can bounce and refresh myself within minutes.
    Note: FFF

I travel a lot by airplain and I would love to take my rebounder with me.
(Most airlines allow you to take a 39" rebounder with you as check in luggage at no extra costs. It just needs to be kept in a round carrying case, not in its box as the box is too big).
    Note: S

I won't likely travel  a lot with my rebounder.
Don't note anything in this category.

  3. Stability

My rebounder should be so stable as if the frame and the legs were glued together.
    Note: SSSS

I don't mind if there is a tiny bit of play between the rebounder and the legs as long as this does not influence the quality of my bounce.
Don't note anything in this category.

End of Section III

Section IV: Which Spring based rebounder?

If you come to this section, this means that in Section I you found out that a spring based rebounder would work best for you.

From the hundreds of different spring rebounders which you find on the American market, we chose five companies which produce rebounders that we can rate from good to excellent. We based our choice on tests that we performed ourselves and on testimonials of clients that shared their experience with us. If you want to tell us your experience with any rebounder brand, we very much encourage you to write us to info@qibounding.com. The more information we receive, the larger our data base becomes and the more accurate can be our recommendations.

We invite you now to find out which spring based rebounder could be the one you would feel most comfortable with:

  1. Budget

(remember to choose only one answer of this category)

    My budget is unlimited.
    Note: BB (lucky you!)

I want to spend maximum $150.
    Note: OO

I want to spend between $150 and $250.
    Note: NN

I want to spend  between $200 and $400.
    Note: CC

If the quality would be substancially better, I can pay more than $400.
    Note: BB

  2. Quality of Bounce

(remember to choose only one answer of this category)

    I don't mind a hard bounce.
    Note: O

My rebounder does not need to be the top of the line but I want to have a good, strong bounce.
    Note: N C

I am concerned about the jarring effect at the bottom of each bounce. I require highest quality.
    Note: B

  3. Quality of the springs

I  want springs that last about a lifetime.
    Note: B

I dont' mind exchanging springs from time to time.
    Note: O N C

  4. Can you live with noise?

I want my rebounder to be completly silent.
    Note: BB

I don't mind if my rebounder starts squieking after a while as I bounce with headphones.
Do not note anything in this category.

  5. Chemical tolerance

I am sensitive to chemicals and I could not tolerate a rebounder that leaches plastic.
    Note: BCN

The smell of plastic does not concern me as I will store my rebounder outside.
    Note: O

Find out which rebounder brand could work for you:

Now please count your letters and find out which letter is the most numerous.

  1. If the result is "N" then you might look into buying a Needak rebounder. It's springs are a bit squeaky but for its price, it's a good rebounder. It has a high quality Permatron mat. You can find Needak rebounders on  www.amazon.com.

  2. If your result is "O" you might be interested in buying an Intone Oval Jogger. Note however that the bounce is very hard and that the plastic cover is smelly. I have bought one myself and after a week of having it on the patio, I can still smell it from 10 feet away. What is very nice with the Oval Jogger is that the surface of the mat is very large which allows a great variety of  bounces. You can find this rebounder also at www.amazon.com.

  3. If your result is "C" you might be interested in buying a "Cellerciser". This is already a more expensive rebounder which costs around $360. The overall quality of it is good. The mat is made out of Permatron, the springs are high quality springs and the bounce is nice. Downsides when bouncing on it are a slight ripple on the mat due to its slightly wobbely folding legs and a squieking noise of the springs. The Cellerciser counts however as a high quality rebounder which delivers good results and can definitively be an alternative for those who do not have the budget for a Bellicon rebounder.

If you want to get more information or if you want to place an order for a Cellerciser please call us at 510-237-1656 and tell us your result of the quiz. We are happy to assist you.

  4. If your result is "B" then you might be most happy with a Bellicon spring based rebounder.
They are actually the best spring based rebounders which we have encountered. German engineering really shows in these rebounders as  Bellicon not only uses the best springs available worldwide - which they import from New Zealand - they also figured out that if they alternate left- and right turning springs, they can produce a better bounce then if all springs turn in the same direction.
Bellicon produces two different spring based rebounders, the "Dynamic" and the "Athletic". Both rebounders look identical. You can get them in various color compositions with a Permatron mat that is either blue or black and a spring cover which can be white, yellow, red, blue, green etc. (Ask which colors are available in stock). The only difference is that the "Athletic" has 12 more springs than the "Dynamic" and is capable to handle up to 350 pound of weight.
Therefore, in case your weight is under 180 pounds, you want to look at the "Dynamic" and if your weight is above 180 pounds or if you want to use the rebounder mainly for jogging, you would go for the "Athletic". True, they are among the most expensive spring based rebounders. However, they also deliver highest quality for many years: You will never need to exchange the springs (with proper use, they will never break) and - great for the nervous system - they are completely silent.
If you want to get more information or if you want to place an order for a Dynamic or an Athletic please call us at 510-237-1656 and tell us your result of the quiz. We are happy to assist you.
