Goal Setting - Smart Start
 
Know yourself.
To achieve goals you must be passionate about them. You will be passionate about your goals if they have meaning for you.
Consider the following before you begin:
  • What are your core values?
  • Where do you want to be in 10 years?
  • What do you want for your life?
  • What difference do you want to make in the world?
 
Balanced goals for a balanced life.
Set your goals in all areas of your life:
  • Health
  • Career
  • Personal
 
Set SMART goals in present tense.
  • Specific - be clear and specific about your goal.
  • Measurable - if you can't measure it, it is difficult to achieve.
  • Attainable - make sure you are able to attain the goal.
  • Realistic - is this goal feasible given your effort levels and tendencies?
  • Timely - Write a specific date so when it comes, you can check off completion of the goal.
Example: I will be more physically active. NOT SMART

That which matters the least should never give way to that which matters the most.
 
Drink FRESH water and as much water as you can.
Water flushes unwanted toxins from your body and keeps your brain sharp.
 
Practice Yoga so you can remain active in physical sports as you age.
 
Listen, listen, listen, and then ask strategic questions.
What you experience in life is a direct reflection of how much you like yourself.
 
The Universe is kind. If you watch deeply enough, you can see that.

Write down your short and long-term GOALS four times a year. Two personal, two business and tow health goals for the next 2, 5 and 10 years. Goal setting triggers your subconscious computer.
 
Visualize yourself as having achieved your goal already. On a subtle plane, you are already one with your goal. It now has to materialize in physicality. You set the seed and know about the plant which will arise out of it. You water it with you attention and love. And you are patient and know about the seasons that will support its growing.

There is nothing really big in life. Everything is a little step at a time. In observing this, you can relax!

Choose a positive thought. The conscious brain can only hold one thought at a time.
 
Everything that you experience in this moment has already happend. It is the past and cannot be changed. You may as well say "yes" to it. Then see what needs to be done next.
